Cupping Therapy by the Numbers, 2026
We mapped cupping therapy across America — 14,489 providers with 1,424,461 customer reviews between them, each one shown to actually offer cupping rather than merely associated with it by Google. Here's what the data says: what a session costs, which states have the most providers per resident, where the cupping capitals are, what styles you can actually get, and who performs it. How much does cupping cost? The one-line answer
The most-asked question in the niche, answered from the 4880 providers in the directory that publicly post a price: a standalone session is about $100, with most providers landing between $66 and $135 — and it's often cheaper as an add-on to a massage or acupuncture visit. The full picture — price bands, why the spread is so wide, and the state-by-state index — is on the cupping cost hub and the Cupping Therapy Cost Index.
Which states have the most cupping providers per capita?
Nationally there are about 42.6 cupping providers per million residents. The per-capita crown goes to Massachusetts at 90.9 per million — 649 providers for a state of 7.1 million people — with New Hampshire at 89.4 and Connecticut at 87.3 close behind. Cupping clusters where wellness and traditional-medicine culture runs deep, not simply where the most people live. At the other end, Hawaii has just 18.7 per million.

What kinds of cupping can you actually get?
Cupping isn't one technique. 6.8% of providers offer at least two different styles. The most common across the directory: Massage (gliding) cupping (22.1%), Sports / myofascial decompression (8.6%), Fire cupping (6.5%), Facial cupping (4.9%). Every count is a floor — a provider is credited with a style only where its own site or a review proves it — so these grow as our crawl continues.
| Cupping style | Providers | Share |
| Massage (gliding) cupping | 3,197 | |
| Sports / myofascial decompression | 1,253 | |
