Cupping is a treatment, not a business category — so the most useful question isn't "how many cupping shops are there?" but "who actually performs it?" The same suction cups feel very different in the hands of an acupuncturist, a massage therapist, a physical therapist or a dedicated hijama practitioner — and the provider type shapes the style, the price, and whether insurance is in play. Who performs cupping: the provider-type breakdown

Across the providers we've classified by type, massage therapists are the most common home for cupping, at 42.8% of the directory. A provider's type is your best single clue to what a session will look like: acupuncturists most often do fire and dry cupping, massage therapists glide silicone cups during bodywork, physical therapists use it as myofascial decompression for recovery, and dedicated hijama specialists focus on wet cupping with single-use kits.

What styles of cupping do they offer?

Cupping providers are rarely single-style. 6.8% offer at least two different styles — so "cupping near me" can mean anything from gentle facial cupping to wet cupping / hijama. Massage (gliding) cupping is the most common, offered by 22.1% of providers. Each count is a floor — a provider is credited with a style only where its own site or a review proves it.
