What clients say about the cupping here
“I booked with Wendy based on a friend’s recommendation and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been lucky enough to receive lots of massage from the best of the best.”
“Though Wendy’s isn’t a spa experience- there is no need for frilly aesthetics and the smell of eucalyptus to have a relaxing experience at Wendy’s!”
“One of the caring practitioners at Wendy's can help you whether you are an athlete, a mom needing to relax, or a patient recovering from surgery.”
“The room was perfect temp, music was soothing, room was clean.”
“Price is also very fair and affordable for the quality of work that they provide.”
“This was my first time at an oriental massage business so I’m guessing some of the differences to what I might normally expect have to do with that.”
From the reviews
I came in with the rotator cup in both my shoulders hurting and limited in movement. After just the first visit I had less pain and more movement. I've now been in twice with Mary taking care of me both times. It's Money well spent. I will be recommending this place to my family and coworkers.
One of the best massages that I have ever had, also one of the most painful, but in a good way; also very relaxing, I almost fell asleep a few times despite the intense pain from the very deep and therapeutic work. Price is also very fair and affordable for the quality of work that they provide.
Wendy is a skilled and masterful massage therapist. She leads with intuition and really knows the human body. She has a medical background and is a true healer. Chico is so lucky to have her!
Always very friendly and accommodating. Depending on who you speak with, they can be a bit hard to understand. So if massage is too hard or you have other issues, it can be difficult to explain.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
