For our 22nd anniversary we decided to try this place for a couples massage. We've had many at other places but the massage we had today was the best by far, it was the combination of American and Chinese techniques. Very relaxing and we got a full hour.
We were visiting Chico and I was experiencing significant back pain, so we decided to look for a place to get a massage. Choosing this place turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The facility is very clean, and the lady who welcomed us provided excellent service.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This is my first massage here in Chico since I moved up from Long Beach since February. Sing gave me a chinese meridian massage and cupping (my first time), it was a good pain. It’s like a therapeutic kind of pain. I will surely come back, the place is clean and well maintained.
I had some strained muscles and needed to be helped the same day. I walked in and had an hour long massage and it was probably the best massage I have ever had. She was very thorough and even gave me such a good face massage. They have you circle the areas that you want them to target the most.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
