From the reviews
Wellness in Motion is the best chiropractor/PT in Boston. I say this after almost a year of seeing other chiros/PTs in the Boston area where I experienced a ton of pain, frustration, and wondering if I was going to get better. In 6 weeks, Dr.
This place is exceptional! PT sessions with Dr. Lianne Farber, Chiropractor sessions Dr. Brent Chuma, and massages with Allain Cherenfant have been incredibly informative. With their support, my injury healed in record time, but the experience has been so amazing that I'll be coming back for more proactive sessions.
Ian and all of the staff at Wellness in Motion are the BEST in the business. No one cares more about their patients. I have religiously been going weekly or bi-weekly for the past several years for injury prevention and to combat running injuries as they arise in marathon training.
Brent is professional, knowledgeable and extremely personable. I look forward to visiting the office for pain relief and prevention, as well as for the positive vibes and camaraderie.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
