I did went for an acupuncture and cupping treatment with holly who is a professional in what she do and very warm and welcoming., as I was mentioning to her that this will be my first time doing the acupuncture treatment and I am a bit nervous she right away explains how the treatment go’s and the process of it all…

I’ve learned so much from Alison about healing and helping my body when it comes to acupuncture and cupping. And I have experienced better sleep, less pain and anxiety, and relief in tense areas. I look forward to every appointment!

I had my first session with Alison this morning, and have been on cloud 9 since. The office is beautiful, clean, warm, and inviting. I've been treated by many acupuncturists, and Alison was fantastic. Her demeanor allows you to instantly feel at ease, and she has an extremely gentle needling style.

I had the pleasure of working with Ashley for my first acupuncture experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this practice! Initially, I felt a bit nervous and uncertain about what to expect, but Ashley's warmth and professionalism quickly put me at ease.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
