From the reviews

I’ve really enjoyed coming to Utah Valley Acupuncture. Seth is a very calming presence and very knowledgeable. He is good at explaining what’s happening in the body and how different treatments can help it. He will always adjust the treatment plan based on how your body is responding to it.

I love Utah Valley Acupuncture! I’m so happy to have found Seth and his incredible staff. I’ve had 9 sessions so far with a focus on alleviating hip and low back pain. My body feels so much better. Each session is a chance to deeply listen to my body and let it do what it naturally want to do.

I was looking for an alternative to my daughter's PCP. I didn't know if she'd be willing (she's 12) to try acupuncture, but I thought at least Dr Seth could point us in the right direction or suggest an herbal blend to help with her lymphatic issues.

When my mom had a major surgery to remove cancerous tumors, she had a complication after where her bowels didn't "wake up" causing her body to start rejecting food and water. As soon as we knew this wasn't something that was going to fix itself, we found Utah valley acupuncture.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
