From the reviews

I've been to TwinCitiesThrive for the past few months and Zoua is a wonderful therapist. She takes the time before each of our sessions to see how I am doing and where I need work done. I've had problems with low back pain but after a few sessions my pain has greatly diminished.

★★★★★ — Christopher, Jul 2019

I've visited TwinCitiesThrive a several times to get a massage. I was referred here by a family member who had a good experience. This is a one-person operation, with Zoua Her performing a variety of massage therapy modalities.

★★★★★ — Bryan, Jun 2019

Zoua is AMAZING. After a week of muscle spasms that wouldn't go away, I made an appointment at the last minute hoping I could get just a little relief. We talked for a few minutes about the kind of pain I was having, then got to work.

★★★★★ — Mary, Mar 2022

I’ve had plenty of massages and can say from experience that Zoua is one of the best out there. Her ability to listen to my complaints and then work the areas that need it with focus and anatomical precision is awesome.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
