From the reviews

Best massages I’ve ever had. I loved that at the very beginning she asked what level of firmness I wanted—I always want a lighter touch, which can be quite difficult to find.

Kata's massages have quickly become essential health care in my life. She activates and lengthens my muscles; inevitably I need a nap after every session with all the tension she works out! Thank you for all you do to keep my body healthy and strong, Kata.

★★★★★ — Laura, Aug 2022

I have been seeing Kata for a few years now and always feel 1000 times better after receiving a massage from her. I always learn something new about the human body from her too! Scheduling is super easy online through her website (as is rescheduling when needed). Her space is in a nicely finished attic of a lovely St.

Kata is super kind and makes sure to take into account all the info you give her in order to best address any issues. She has made her space into a safe, accepting, and comfortable environment. If you’re considering getting a massage, I would highly recommend looking here :)

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
