From the reviews
I am an MMA and snowboarding athlete as well as a PGA Golf professional who has suffered lower back pain for as long as I can remember and had two shoulder operations. Leo was recommended to me by an MMA teammate, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I truly can't say enough good things about Leo. Best physical therapist I've ever been to by far, not even close. Before coming to Leo, I'd been to many different insurance based physical therapy clinics.
If you’re looking for a new physical therapy clinic, this is the place. Dr. Leo and Dr. Carly are exactly who you want on your team. About two years ago, I suffered a pretty significant hip injury. I initially went to a more traditional physical therapy office that only focused on treating my hip.
After 30 years of on and off back pain, following 5 days in the hospital and an epidural, I decided to pursue a less traditional, more holistic approach to physical therapy. I have always been physically fit and felt like there just had to be a better way.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
