From the reviews
I feel right at home when going to Yang Institute. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. If they don't understand about or have an issue with my Veterans benefits, they ask for my assistance. They let me know when they're going to apply for a new referral or if they are having issues receiving a new referral. Dr.
We were fortunate enough to find Dr. Yang for my nephew, who was diagnosed as having a serious anxiety disorder. Each prior doctor had very little improvement and chose to heavily medicate him. The medicines affected his ability to think clearly and eventually began to affect his liver.
Dr. Gong is truly a blessing. Her exceptional patient care and bedside manner are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. While I have experienced acupuncture with other practitioners in the past, none have shown the level of kindness, compassion, and patience that Dr. Gong consistently provides.
I hadn't been back since the shut down of 2020... Saw Dr. Wong, and BAM... She's got my body feeling 100%, (yes 100%), better. As I get older and the aches and pains pop up out of nowhere, I need the treatments to level playing field. It's a clean, healthy environment dedicated to their patients. You Gotta Go :)
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
