From the reviews

I saw Dr. Neuman for an unexpected nerve pain down my back and my right shoulder that seem to come out of nowhere, was extremely painful and was impacting my daily life. She came highly recommended by a friend and colleague of mine and I was so glad I went to see her.

★★★★★ — Christy, Feb 2026

For the past five or six months, I have been going to The Holistic Collaborative for acupuncture almost weekly. Dr. Marissa is absolutely incredible. She has explained so much to me about anatomy, which finally clicked when discussing my own body.

★★★★★ — Vanessa, Feb 2026

I came to Dr. Marissa in hopes of getting more help with my PCOS. Prior to seeing her I had been working with a holistic doctor for two years, but I was still having issues. Dr. Marissa told me PCOS is a metabolic issue and we need to prioritize my diet amongst other things.

★★★★★ — Ryann, Jun 2026

I had been seeing Marissa once a week for 4 months and got pregnant. I had been trying for 5 yrs with one loss. My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I truley dont believe i would be pregnant had it not been for Marissa's help.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
