What clients say about the cupping here
“Carrie seems is a rare jewel in a time where medical professionals rush you through appointments to diagnose and prescribe.”
“It's refreshing to have a doctor that is patient, listens and welcomes questions from folks like me that need to know how things work in order to fully understand.”
“It's the first time I've actually felt someone took the time to listen to my health history, symptoms, worries, and goals.”
From the reviews
What an experience. I had Acupuncture only one other time and unfortunately it was not my medicine at that point. I met Dr. Carrie and was open to experiencing it with her and I am so glad I did. The mixture of cupping and Gosha in addition was a great compliment. Dr.
Dr. Carrie has been such a breath of fresh air! She is brilliant and kind, and a wonderful listener. It's the first time I've actually felt someone took the time to listen to my health history, symptoms, worries, and goals. We went over my labs test by test and I learned so much.
I first heard about Dr. Carrie a year ago at a women’s brunch I attended where the organizer shared a part of her experience as one of Dr. Carrie’s clients. I immediately looked her up on Instagram and booked her for a free consultation call.
I first started with Dr. Carrie 2 years ago after having been bumped around by conventional medicine. I had no official diagnosis for my issues but my doctors wanted to throw expensive medicine at me and hope something stuck. I was at the point where my only other option was biologics and dealing with the side effects.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
