From the reviews

I loved my appointment with Aileen for acupuncture and cupping. It was my first time and I have been experiencing nerve pain. She was throughout with her assessment, very knowledgeable, and was great at communicating with me what to expect. It was such a great experience.

I absolutely love Grand Rapids Wellness and get my weekly acupuncture here, and have fond done so for the last 12 years. I love their new building located right off East Beltline, on Eagle Run Drive. You sometimes can get Saturday appointments as well!

★★★★★ — Miss, Jun 2025

This was a last resort for helping my shoulder pain. I tried massage, acupuncture, urgent care, at home PT exercises and I was not seeing lasting results. I was leery about trying a chiropractor because in the past did not experience any results with another chiropractor. After friends recommended Dr.

★★★★★ — Maria, Jul 2025

I have dealt with lower back pain since 2013 when I fell and fractured 3 vertebrae and then 2 years ago started having a sciatica type pain in my right hip. It was debilitating. I had to climb up stairs on my hands and knees as I could not go up normally.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
