…The acupuncture is relaxing but the best treatment has been cupping. I have been having my shoulder cupped for rotator cuff damage. The pain relief seems to come from the increased circulation in the treated areas. Excellent service and care. Quiet, clean facility in downtown Maumee.
Tamara TCM is my go to for all my health and wellness needs. Tamara has treated me for a broken rib, shoulder injuries, rashes, colds, covid, shingles, menopause, sinus congestion, joint pain, motion sickness and my autoimmune condition.
I went to Tamara TCM with a huge headache and sinus issues including pressure, congestion, watery and stinging eyes. The headache felt like I was hit with a baseball bat. Tamara found the perfect points, I didn't feel any of the needles, and I walked out feeling better than I had in days!

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
