What clients say about the cupping here
“It is an amazing combination of skills though and he has been able to help me with aches, pains, and mobility issues that I haven't been able to touch with regular massage and chiropractic work.”
“There were many times after a session where I had that ah-ha moment and spontaneously experienced and resolved emotions that I hadn't been aware were stuck and unprocessed.”
“His ability to really listen and empathize, as well as diving right in to quickly understand what is causing my pain was a relief.”
“Cris has a wonderful sense of humor, a calming presence and an uncanny ability to discover the root cause of an issue, even when the dots may not connect in logical ways.”
“I attended Cris’ recent training for body workers (“Head, Neck, and Jaw”) and am thankful I did.”
“He is incredibly warm, welcoming, and takes time to truly understand what it is you're dealing with and how he can help.”
From the reviews
I was referred to Cris by my medical provider after a lengthy battle with a chronic and somewhat complex hamstring tendinitis condition. He was quick to enbrace the challenges of my stubborn condition and applied his knowledge and expertise to my treatment plan.
Cris is an intuitive, knowledgable, kind being with the ability to help your body be at ease and literally function better. I'm constantly amazed at the improvements we make each week. I'm able to sit upright better, stand taller, walk easier, squat further, reach my arms straight above my head . . .
I first went to see Cris after an accident-related injury. He came recommended as the best person in town for the kinds of nerve pain issues I was dealing with. I couldn't agree more. I've been going to see Cris for the past six months and it has helped a lot with the pain and its management.
Cris has been my therapist for many years and helps my body maintain a vigorous work load with knowledgeable and caring touch. His work has been a catalyst for my own career in massage, helping me keep a focus and interest in the bodywork profession with his keen insights and authentic presence.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
