I was a patient of Jamies for years when I lived in San Francisco and dealing with chronic undiagnosed health issues (severe gut issues - bloating/pain/food sensitivities, anxiety, insomnia, and low iron). Jamie is an amazing practitioner who creates a safe space for healing.
Jamie is very caring and supportive and takes a personalized approach to your needs. She employs a mix of accupuncture, cupping, herbs and more depending on what's going on with you.
I have been getting treatment for insomnia, stress, sciatica, muscle pain and chronic fatigue syndrome from Jamie since 2011. She combines Acupuncture, Massage, Cupping & health coaching to her treatments. She's an intuitive and amazing healer. I highly recommend!
I don't typically write reviews for people but I have had such incredible experiences with Jamie that I want to share with everyone. Jamie's energy is undeniably warm, open, and nurturing. Her and I clicked immediately in our first session.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
