Why NEW MOON ACUPUNCTURE is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “t: This is a 60 minute follow up visit of continuing care appropriate for most current patients. It includes an acupuncture treatment and may or may not include a small amount of manual modalities such as moxibustion or cupping. There will…” source →

From the reviews

I had the most profound experience working with Ece. I went to her at the very end of my pregnancy to help start a natural induction and ensure that the energy was flowing through my body as it should.

★★★★★ — Hannah, Oct 2025

During one of the most difficult crises of my life - three weeks between the diagnosis of a pregnancy loss, and the actual physical miscarriage - a number of precious angels helped me through. Ece is one of them.

★★★★★ — Shaw, Jan 2021

I had a great session with Ece. She seemed to really understand what my body needed at the time. As our session progressed I felt the circulation and warmth in my body increase. By the end I was buzzing with a good energetic feeling. I don’t know exactly what she did, all I know is I felt great for days afterwards!

★★★★★ — Will, Mar 2018

I was referred to New Moon Acupuncture by my doula in my third trimester of pregnancy and so happy to find it. Ece was so helpful and so informative, she really talked me through all of my treatments. Every time I left feeling so connected to body and refreshed.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
