From the reviews
I run a local Pilates studio and recently had the pleasure of discovering Meghan's acupuncture services after meeting her at a networking event. As a full-time Pilates instructor and very active person, I've used various bodywork modalities extensively, including acupuncture, chiropractic care, cupping, massage, and…
Meghan is incredibly thoughtful and methodical in her approach to acupuncture, much more than other places I've tried. In each visit, she asks thorough questions and tests your body's reactions to various inputs to determine the right treatment.
Meghan is the most intuitive healer I have ever come across. I came in for a pinched nerve in my neck as there was an impingement and she fixed me after a couple treatments. Her acupuncture knowledge and skills are amazing. She also did massage and cupping on the problem areas and I was good as new after that.
I went to Meghan seeking relief from monthly headaches and emotional stress and I found her work to be uniquely superior! She conducted a thorough body-mind-lifestyle health assessment in advance of our appointment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
