From the reviews
Denver Community Acupuncture is my happy place. I always walk out of here feeling calm, grounded and at peace. Kate is a great acupuncturist, with a very personable and zen demeanor. I always look forward to my visits and even more so, how amazing I feel when I leave. Highly recommend!!
Jen is brilliant. She gives so much care and attention, and I feel like she really hears me. Her acupuncture is effective and gentle, and she is generous with her wisdom. I appreciate her so much, and recommend her frequently!
I can not say enough good things about this clinic and the people who own and run the place! I discovered it after being diagnosed with a rare disease that has no cure. Insurance does not cover acupuncture and since becoming diagnosed I've had surgery and 27+ hospital visits.
Excellent holistic health care, alternatives and accupuncture for affordable prices. Accupuncture is offered in a community setting, where there is one accupuncturist for 3-4 people, making it more affordable.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
