Really good place. Went her for the first time to get help for my lower back. The staff was good and I didn't wait long to see the therapist. She was able to find out the most likely cause and work on fixing it. She went over all the exercises and showed me how to do them.
Bodywork Professionals is haven of peace and healing and renewal - the therapists are amazing - whether you need a deep muscular session or a peaceful session of relaxation - I had a session with Kristin Dowling yesterday and it was just what I needed - both caring and powerful -- thanks!
Absolutely wonderful experience. The facility itself is very nice, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. All wonderful people. Melissa did an amazing job, highly recommend. Worth the expense, it made a difference. Will be going back.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
