What clients say about the cupping here
“Asking about previous pregnancies and transfers while trying to "chat" isn’t relaxing.”
From the reviews
I've had a nice massage every time but my favorite thing about this place is definitely the lounge where you wait before and can spend time after. Dim lighting, comfy chairs and a fireplace are really all a girl needs to relax, am I right?
I recently had my very first acupuncture session with Leah at CNY Healing Arts in Albany. It was much MORE than I was expecting. She was reassuring, gentle and made me feel at ease. I have been having trouble sleeping and I feel like after the first needle, my body felt such a relief.
This place is nice, but I wish they were a bit more sensitive. Asking about previous pregnancies and transfers while trying to "chat" isn’t relaxing. It's stressful and painful. We are here for a reason. Please respect our privacy.
Cny healing arts took time to get to know my name and my situation. Each time, I came in for a service, they greeted me by name and were very supportive.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
