From the reviews

I usually get there once a month, and when I leave from the office of Dr. Dan Zal I feel incredible. He is very experienced and knows which meridian points to touch. I would highly recommend him!

★★★★★ — Evan, Dec 2018

Acupuncturist Dan Zal has helped me (sciatica, tendinitis, jaw pain) my sons (back, neck, hip pain), my husband (lower back pain, kidney pain, stress), and friends (runner, aikido instructor, massage therapist). He is a superior listener, does not waste time, is responsive, and always fits us in to his busy schedule.

★★★★★ — Brooke, Dec 2018

I have had Sciatic nerve pain and cramps for a short period in 2003 before I visited Mr. Zal my very first time. They dissapeared after the very first visit. Each time they returned which was 2x afterwards in a 2-1/2 year period Mr. Zal removed the issue with his skills and knowledge. Here it is. 2019.

★★★★★ — Justin, Apr 2019

I have been seeing Dan Zal for pain relief from migraines and fibromyalgia. Also, he helps me with IBS issues and anxiety. I have seen other acupuncturists in the area and I find Dan to be the best. His calm, competent manner is very reassuring and he is extremely knowledgeable.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
