What clients say about the cupping here
“At the three month mark of my severe injury, I can happily say I am performing these everyday tasks almost pain free (my doctor gave me a timeline of 9-12 months to get to the point of no pain)!”
“Chrissy provided me expert advice and a number of exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles, ligaments and tendons to help me come back and correct the issues that I was experiencing.”
“Takes the time to truly understand the various aspects of the injuries and explains the approach so clearly that you feel truly part of the plan to heal and get stronger.”
“Now, 6 years later as a college athlete at Penn State University she is still my first point of contact with any questions and issues related to my physical health and performance.”
From the reviews
I am writing this review not because Chrissy Biele is my sister-in-law but because she helped and advised me on how to manage a severe work related sciatica injury that affected my right leg and lower back.
Chrissy is truly one of a kind. Takes the time to truly understand the various aspects of the injuries and explains the approach so clearly that you feel truly part of the plan to heal and get stronger.
My issues - torn rotator cuff & plantar fasciitis in both heels - I began seeing Dr. Biele after I became frustrated with a different therapist & I wasn’t progressing. Dr. Biele quickly identified exactly what my issues were and what we needed to do. I benefited from one on one sessions with Dr.
Chrissy Biele @ Light the Lamp PT is simply the best. I worked with her for almost 2 years through an injury. Chrissy listens, supports, is knowledgable and SKILLED! When we got to a road block, Chrissy got me to the right physicians.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
