From the reviews

This is my FAVORITE acupuncture and massage place I have ever tried — and I’ve been to a lot. Even when I’m traveling abroad (and inevitably get aches and pains) I look forward to my return to the Bay Area for this place alone.

★★★★★ — Amanda, Apr 2024

This is the best Chinese deep tissue therapy and acupuncture place in the SF Bay Area. I come here every week more than once about 2.5 years, which they never failed me.

★★★★★ — David, Nov 2022

Last month,I had my first acupuncture treatment here for my lower back muscle pain . I didn't trust this kind of therapy before. However after Dr.King's acupuncture, the pain and tigh feeling of my lumbar was alleviated. Three days later the pain disappeared.

★★★★★ — 刻舟求剑, Mar 2021

I used to have really bad eczema all over (back of knees, inside of elbows, neck, and in my scalp). I went to a couple of acupuncture clinics and they couldn’t help me, but then I came here and it cleared up after only a week.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
