From the reviews
I recently took my parents to the newly opened clinic in Milpitas, and our experience was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly, making us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in.
I recently visited Quality Health Acupuncture and had an outstanding experience. The serene and welcoming atmosphere immediately put me at ease. I experienced acupuncture, cupping, and acupressure, and each service was exceptional.
I had a fantastic experience at Quality Health Acupuncture. Recently, I was dealing with lower back pain, and my left leg was numb and barely movable before my visit. This was my first time trying acupuncture, and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Xing Yu is an expert and very knowledgeable acupuncturist.
I’ve been to this TCM clinic three times, and it’s been a game-changer for my shoulder and neck pain from long commutes and desk work. They accept most insurances like PPO, HSA, and FSA, which is super convenient. Chris, the TCM practitioner, is very professional and thorough.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
