From the reviews
I went to Melissa for a 90 minute massage with cupping. The massage was amazing, I have a lot of tension in my upper back and she was able to work out the kinks while still making the massage relaxing which is a challenge!
First time getting a massage was great! It's a good thing to do to relieve some aches and pains and also relax. Tried cupping also for the first time, that was amazing. Melissa really know what she is doing and started targeting my muscles tension.
What can I say but great things about Melissa! She is amazing and knows exactly what to do to relieve that stress! She introduced me to cupping and WOW it's a whole different kind of massage.. the best! After seeing Melissa I always leave refreshed and relaxed!
Melissa is an excellent massage therapist! I started getting cupping massages to remedy soreness from weight lifting, and it truly works! It has also provided me with so much more including a path to healing an old shoulder injury and gaining range of motion. Melissa is professional, attentive, fun, and friendly.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
