I’ve gone to Andrea for cupping/massage. I had never done cupping before, but I’ll never NOT do it now. She’s amazing. Andrea talked through what was bothering me and then made suggestions and focused on the areas that were plaguing me.
I go to Andrea because she knows what's wrong. I can just feel "tense" and she figures out it's in my scapulae and my right hip, or that I've been clenching my calves, somehow (?!). I always feel taller, calmer, and *better* when I leave a massage with Andrea.
The massage Gods have delivered. Andrea is absolutely AMAZING!!! Forget the fact she is absolutely delightful, from the moment the massage starts until she is finished, her intensity never drops. I have had 100's of massages and clearly Andrea is one of the best massages I've ever had.
WOW!!! Just had the first of what will be many more massages from Andrea. She is has such a relaxing touch. Made all the knots and stiffness melt away. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
