What clients say about the cupping here
“I originally met her through a friend's referral as I have dealt with chronic back and neck pain for years and no physical therapy, chiropractor work, or anything else was really helping.”
“I trust them completely and know they always give me the most expert acupuncture, herbs, cupping, moxa, and dietary advice (yes I've been fortunate to receive all of this from them).”
“They listened to my concerns and have targeted the issues of my neck pain, as well as shoulder pain and stiffness.”
“Karen, and in just a couple of visits, she had it drained and resolved—no pain, no downtime, no huge medical bills from surgery, and definitely no nasty scar to deal with.”
“It’s clean, warm, and safe facility, I’ve been to a bunch of Acupuncturists, and really appreciated their extra care and support.”
“After developing a painful heel spur and not wanting to take my podiatrist's recommendation of cortisone shots or surgery, I tried acupuncture for the first time and so glad I did.”
From the reviews
Dr. June has been giving me giving me weekly treatment for almost 2 years. She knows what my body needs and remembers details of our conversations from months prior. She is a joy to be around. I came in sceptical and uncomfortable with needles, and now I feel the postive effects of the treatment everytime.
I am so grateful to the incredible team at Johnson's Acupuncture for bringing me back to health, saving me from surgery, and allowing me to once again enjoy my life. I have had complex health issues that my Kaiser doctors could not treat, other than recommend life-altering surgery.
I am beyond grateful that I found Dr. Connie Ly at Johnson's Acupuncture. She has completely changed my life. I originally met her through a friend's referral as I have dealt with chronic back and neck pain for years and no physical therapy, chiropractor work, or anything else was really helping. Dr.
Recommend Dr. Jun! She’s helped me with a ton of different issues over the past 8 months (using acupuncture, herbs, cupping), all while making me feel at ease with the needles and generally being a caring, warm, and professional person! So happy I found her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
