From the reviews
Jacob is an incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional massage therapist. I have been going to him for years and it has drastically improved my chronic back and neck pain from desk work and a previous car accident injury. All other standard massage I have received in the past felt superficial.
Jacob's calming demeanor put me at ease and I received an incredibly healing massage. Very professional and aware, he addressed my spoken concerns and intuited areas in need of relief. I left feeling spacious, grounded and in greater alignment.
I was extremely impressed by the massage, service, and professionalism of Jacob. His studio is nice and quiet with great atmosphere. His ability to find and target areas of fatigue and soreness was amazing. I would definitely recommend Jacob to anyone looking for a very therapeutic massage.
Worthy of ten stars. Let me start by saying, finding the right body work expert is like It's like finding a great car mechanic. Once found, stick with that person them so they can get to know your body's structure, it's strengths and weaknesses, so you can heal as the work evolves.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
