From the reviews
I have been going to Empirical Medicine, for the last three weeks to get acupuncture and honestly I can’t believe I haven’t done it sooner. Dr. T has a way to make you feel so comfortable when is asking you questions. I’m excited to try the cupping on my next section.
I had an excellent experience at Dr. T’s acupuncture and cupping clinic. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. T is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and takes the time to understand your concerns before tailoring the treatment to your specific needs.
I came to see Dr. T because of a constant pain I’d been having in my left leg and glute. She spent a lot of time during the intake process getting to understand me and my overall state of being. She explained her process thoroughly and was kind and professional. I received acupuncture and the relief was incredible.
I've been getting acupuncture treatments for my back pain and anxiety for 3 years now. The doctors are well trained and caring. Their front desk administrator is a gem and always welcomes you with a smile and asked about your day. Highly recommend!!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
