From the reviews

I had the best experience. I really only thought of massages as relaxing or deep tissue which are too intense for me. But Susan helped me experience a therapeutic massage that included multiple types of massages including cupping to focus specifically on helping my lower back pain.

This was my first professional massage experience and it was amazing. Mercedez was so sweet, she made me feel comfortable and at ease since I was not familiar with the process. The entire massage experience was incredibly relaxing which was exactly what I was looking for.

Healing Massage is a terrific massage clinic. Susan C, the owner gave me her personal attention because of my age and type of recovery that I needed from my procedure. Susan and her staff are highly knowledgeable and well trained. She is a caring and personable lady.

Healing massage is a peaceful oasis! It is spotless, peaceful, and calming. The lighting and music in the rooms are so welcoming. I had never had a massage before, but Marissa makes you feel comfortable and cared for. When Marissa gives you a massage, you feel the stress leave your body.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
