From the reviews

I have been under Emily’s care for years and can’t possibly say enough about the experience - Her nurturing and intuitive way of approaching each session is so unique to her practice. She listens to and truly wants to know her clients, their needs, and meets me where I’m at during every appointment.

I have had many massage therapists over the years and Emily is truly one of the best. She takes time to listen to your current issues, as well as long-term goals. I have been seeing her for regular massage work, as well as fertility massage work, which have both been super helpful.

Emily is the best. I cannot stress how much she has helped me with so many ailments. She is a true miracle worker! My pain and stiffness melts away after my therapy. The peaceful surroundings of her workspace are relaxing, and inviting.

★★★★★ — Jive, Dec 2024

Emily’s got a real gift! She’s the best massage therapist I’ve ever seen and has extensive knowledge and skill with prenatal massage too! She’s very kind and professional and makes sure to address any specific aches or pains you might have. Her studio is really nice, clean and thoughtfully put together.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
