From the reviews
I had dry needling and cupping done for a pinched nerve in my lower back by Gina. I highly recommend her (and Healthy Core in general) she is a great listener, very knowledgable of anatomy and in-depth knowledge of the dry needling and cupping process. This therapy was very successful in healing my pinched nerve.
My OB referred me to Healthy Core for pelvic floor therapy during my second pregnancy. I was extremely nervous going in as I didn't know what to expect. I had my first session with Gina and left with pretty much no pain after spending weeks in excruciating pain.
I started going to Healthy Core and Wellness during my third pregnancy. I was having some back pain and had diastasis recti with previous pregnancies. Janine was SO helpful!
I have been a patient of Janine for a couple of years now and highly recommend. Janine took a full body approach as to why I was experiencing, pelvic pain, bladder sensitivity- IC related symptoms, and chronic pain. Everytime I have a session with her I always feel more relaxed, at ease and free from pain.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
