From the reviews
Listen. I have almost 40 years of muscle tension, wonky joints, and mobility issues. I have a laundry list of medical concerns including POTS and hypermobile Elher's Danlos Syndrome. I'm also perimenopausal, which I've now learned, can cause all sorts of pain and muscle issues.
Bianca was recommend to me by my husband, who NEVER goes to any healthcare provider if he can help it. So this referral was a big deal. Bianca was so good at listening to me and then got right to work with cupping, needling, & physical maneuvering that I just didn’t know existed.
Dr. Nick is an upmost professional! I have multiple injuries over the years related to physical activity in which he was able to diagnose and treat quickly. He has a wide knowledge base of the best practices including scrapping, cupping, manual manipulations, taping (glides), and my personal favorite - dry needling.
Dr. Austen Hutton is amazing! His approach to identifying the root cause of issues is thoughtful and effective. Between cupping, dry needling, mechanical massage and homework exercises, the pain in my cervical vertebrae and rotator cuff has and continues to improve.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
