From the reviews
Dr. Chi has been performing wonders for my neck and low back issues using acupuncture, cupping and Chinese massage. I’m lucky to have found her. She’s very easy to schedule with as well.
Jan. 2011, If you're considering acupuncture, I highly recommend a visit to Chi's Acupuncture and Tui Na Center in Madison or Janesville, Wisconsin. For over a year I experienced cancer treatment side effects including: severe headaches, neuropathy, fatigue and sleeplessness.
I cannot thank Dr. Chi enough how for she's restored by my health after I've exhausted all other resources. After my tremendous success, the rest of my family members went to see her for different problems and have all greatly benefitted from her treatments.
I had heard for a long time that Dr. Chi is the best acupuncturist in Madison, WI and after receiving treatment at Chi's Acupuncture, I can truly say the reputation is well deserved. I have suffered from cervical spine and neck issues for more than ten years.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
