What clients say about the cupping here
“Elin is professional, authentic, personable, and cares for her clients needs above all else.”
“I feel more relaxed, more restored, and more in touch with my body than I may ever have felt.”
From the reviews
After my first session with Elin yesterday, I came home and said to my husband, "Wow. Just wow. It was Massage Meets Yoga. I feel more relaxed, more restored, and more in touch with my body than I may ever have felt.
Whole-hearted. Identifies areas needing improvement. Michael Hyannis
I scrolled the internet looking for a person to do Reiki locally. I found Becoming Holistics, down the street from my house. I booked a appt, and was I surprised!!! Elin Treat was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel like talking to a friend.
As a disabled person who has survived with metal in various parts of my body, I have to be highly selective about who works on my body and how they do so. In the last few years, working with Elin, my body and quality of life have been significantly improved.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
