A transformative experience! I would recommend to anyone! :)
Dr. Cheng is great! I started seeing him a couple of months ago for a severe skin condition on my hands and feet, very painful, and for which I had started seeing a western acupuncturist for out of state before I moved to Rhode Island.
Over the last three years, I have been under Dr Cheng's treatment for back, hip, knee, and other types of pain. I have found Dr Cheng to be a wonderful part of my healthcare. From acupuncture for pain to how to treat my body, I have found his treatments highly effective.
Dr. Ling Cheng is a such a Gifted Healer. No matter what the cause, he has so Naturally & Simply been the cure. So incredibly Grateful for the noticeable difference of Energy & Improved Chi.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
