I had a wonderful experience at this acupuncture clinic in Westborough, MA. I initially came in for persistent neck and shoulder pain from long hours at work, and I’m honestly so glad I found this place. The practitioner was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in explaining the treatment plan.
I came in with acute nerve pain in my wrist. My hand/wrist would hurt with daily activity, and it was even painful to wash my hands under cold water. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Naiyan. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, and did some scalp acupuncture that instantly relieved the pain in my wrist.
The practitioner is gentle and always adjust the treatment to what my body needs, making the whole experience comfortable. She helps with my aches and body pain. It’s rare to find a practitioner who offers both acupuncture and fire cupping in the area. The treatments are very effective and therapeutic.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
