“I had never had acupuncture before seeing Sunae, and I was a little nervous about whether acupuncture would hurt or if it would even help with the pain I was having.”
From the reviews
My experience with Sunae was fabulous! This was the first cupping treatment I’ve done and I felt very calm and supported during the full treatment. Sunae is very knowledgeable and walked me through the process as well as the benefits. I really enjoyed the experience & would highly recommend this treatment to anyone.
Sunae is incredible! I highly recommend her to anyone experiencing any type of chronic pain (or any other issues that could benefit from a holistic approach). I had chronic migraines for years and nothing seemed to work. I felt a significant improvement within just a few weeks of seeing Sunae.
I've been receiving acupuncture treatments for over 2 years to maintain overall wellness and pain management. When I moved to Chi 3 months ago, I was worried that I wouldn't find an acupuncturist as good as the one I had in SF. I was so happy to have found Sunae. She is absolutely the best.
I have been going to Sunae for years and I can’t recommend her enough! She is thoughtful and professional and each session feels tailored to exactly what’s going on with me that day.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
