From the reviews
My experience with acupuncture and cupping at Zen Attitude has been nothing short of transformative. As someone who has struggled with chronic back pain for years, I have tried everything to find relief, and nothing has helped.
I highly recommend seeing Phi-Lan Nguyen for acupuncture treatments. I was 38 weeks pregnant when I started my treatments with Phi-Lan to help my body naturally induce labor. I completed 3 sessions with her and 5 days later went into spontaneous labor.
The go to wellness center if you want something that works. I have been in and out of treatment centers from acupuncture to massage, to chiropractors from the East Coast to Hawaii and Zen Attitude has exceeded expectations.
After failing for about 2 to 3 months to get my tennis elbow pain under control on my own, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time. Looking online, I decided on Zen Attitude Acupuncture Hawaii because of the positive online reviews, and what a great decision that turned out to be!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
