From the reviews
I cannot recommend Yao enough as an acupuncturist! After struggling with neck and back pain and trying multiple chiropractic sessions, I finally found relief through acupuncture, and cupping. The results have been amazing; my pain management has improved dramatically.
Dr. Chen is so smart and awesome acupuncturist. She is extremely passionate with her job. Not only does she treat me like a patient, but she treats me like family. She has taken care of my back pain problems with cupping. Also, she is my family's acupuncturist.
After a few months of cosmetic acupuncture with Dr. Yao, my face looks better. The sagging is less, and my wrinkles seem smoother. I'm really happy! Dr. Yoa also helped my dry eyes after LASIK; I haven't needed drops for a few months (I’ve been using drops 6 times a day minimum).
I had an amazing experience with Yao and Yujie at Yc Natural Health. I had nagging lower back pain that I put off addressing for weeks because I thought it would just go away. After realizing how miserable I was, I saw Yao and after two sessions, my pain is gone.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
