From the reviews
The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I've been dealing with lower back pain for a couple years and I've seen tremendous improvement over my last few sessions. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who has suffered muscular injuries or traumas.
If you are in need of a physical therapist, I cannot more strongly recommend Lisa Kelly and the team at Wave Physical Therapy! As someone that has had a fair amount of knee surgeries and in real need of a knee replacement, I’ve become accustomed to everyday pain as well as what to expect at physical therapy.
I can’t recommend Wave Physical Therapy enough. I went in for dry needling because I had an extremely painful shoulder knot that completely locked up my right shoulder, neck, and upper back from working out. The muscle was so tense it basically paralyzed that entire area from movement.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jackie Sanders and the entire team at Anchor Wellness Center! Everyone is so welcoming, supportive, and genuinely cares about their patients. Dr. Sanders is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to what was going on and tailor treatment to my needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
