What clients say about the cupping here
“She is so knowledgeable about the human body and treats issues from their root cause as opposed to treating only symptoms.”
From the reviews
I started working with Barbara after going through a very rough and traumatizing pregnancy. I have now been working with her for the past 7-8 months and I can't say enough good things about her!
Barbara is a highly skilled practitioner of Accupuncture and Chinese medicine. She knows a lot about human anatomy and she can often diagnose the problem very quickly. She is amazing at what she does! Go see her!
Barbara is a miracle worker. I have been working with her for the past 5 years. She is so knowledgeable about the human body and treats issues from their root cause as opposed to treating only symptoms.
This was my first time seeing Dr. Barb, and she was immediately friendly and approachable. I loved her straight talk and her confidence in her treatment as a means of helping me finally get a handle on my pain problems. I'm very excited to learn more from her and see what we can accomplish together!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
