From the reviews

Village Acupuncture & Massage is my happy place. Marguerite has been my go-to for massages once a month for over five years. She is very passionate about massage therapy and helping people and is very skilled in her practice.

★★★★★ — Lisa, Apr 2021

Margarite is incredible. I had a double mastectomy and couldn’t get in to PT for months due to scheduling. I saw her a little over 4 weeks after my surgery for lymphatic drainage and she made a huge difference. She knew how to avoid the spots that needed to heal and bring relief to others.

★★★★★ — Nicole, Dec 2021

Goes without saying, the place, along with the massage room was clean and inviting. As always, Marguerite was accommodating to my comfort needs before even starting my massage therapy with a bolster and pillow for my legs and a slightly raised area for my head & upper back. The background music was lovely and relaxing.

★★★★★ — Lenny, Jun 2021

Rachel is fantastic. She has a true gift as a healer & is truly passionate about guiding others to help them heal themselves. Physical ailments are connected to mind/body/spirit and Rachel goes in deep to help her patients.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
