Such a positive experience with Mark and his office! I would give Mark 10 stars if I could. Amazing results, skilled doctor, compassionate staff and the sparkly clean office deserve all. Three weeks ago, I developed a stiff neck for reasons not known to me. Stretching didn't help. Painkillers didn't help.
Mark has helped me tremendously with my health issues. He is a truly knowledgeable and professional acupuncturist. I first arrived to his clinic not knowing what to expect, but after two months of acupuncture and cupping treatments, my health problems have resolved and I am back to my old self.
Mark is a Great Acupuncturist who knows how to use his needles. My problem was I had a sciatic nerve attack. It ran across my back and up and my left leg. The first day I did not know what I had went to emergency and the doctor told me what I had and just gave me ibuprofen to take as needed and that it will go away…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
