From the reviews

I cannot recommend working with Tsao enough. I first went to her practice struggling with fertility issues. After two months working together (and months of conventional medical intervention), I conceived. She is now helping me maintain a healthy pregnancy.

For a year I struggled with pelvic floor disorder and interstitial cystitis. I saw countless specialists in many parts of the globe. Finally I came upon Dr Tsao which was well worth the trip from Virginia. In one session, I was cured!!!! Yes, in one session. She is wicked, I tell you. You don’t feel the needle go in.

I am posting this review for women who are struggling with infertility and thinking about giving acupuncture a try. Acupuncture is proven to stimulate blood flow and relieve stress, both of which can help with fertility.

I've been seeing Tsao for a few sessions now and I'm very excited about my journey with her. My first appointment was spent extensively going over all of the details of my history and I felt I was in very good hands. She cared deeply about everything we spoke of and I felt a real warmth from her.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
