From the reviews
So many good things say about Thrive Massage. Raven performs incredibly thorough body work. She has the perfect combination of intuition, education, experience and continuing education.
I have looked long and hard for a massage therapist who is both great at what they do and a calm presence. Raven is BOTH. I think she has a natural knowing of what the body needs to relax, and has the knowledge around how to accomplish this. I go to her for the most relaxing and muscle nourishing experience.
I have been receiving massages from Raven for over three years. She is amazing. I sought her help because of chronic neck and shoulder issues. Because of her patience, dedication, and the application of a broad variety of techniques, I am almost fully healed. I strongly recommend her.
Life changing! I didn’t realize how much pain was affecting my body, my mood, and more until I started seeing Raven at Thrive Massage a couple months ago. She is amazing! With each session she is helping my body return to alignment and full range of motion.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
