Jenny is great. I went her with an intense upper back pain and muscle tension. She did cupping and the needle magic wherever needed. I felt relaxed immediately after the session.
I went to the Ashland clinic, I enjoyed the vibe there more so than the Medford clinic, however, the person is the most important part. Simon Sharkey was knowledgeable, attentive to my needs and concerns, and made me comfortable both physically and mentally.
Simon has been working with me for almost a year now as I moved thru some unexpected treacherous withdrawal symptoms. Once over that hump I now see him once a month for a general tune up as I ease into my elder years.
Mandy is magic. Not sure how else to describe what she does. She heals all my ills whatever they may be. I had no idea the impact her practice would have on my body, mind and spirit. And I thought I was just coming to her for a bum shoulder, who knew?
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
