From the reviews

Don't look any further than Dr. Chris Dewey for your treatment. He is a phenomenal acupuncturist. He's also an amazing life coach after having spent decades as a Professor of Micropalaentology. He's had some incredible experiences which he might divulge if you ask nicely. Truly a master of many disciplines.

★★★★★ — Chris, Jul 2017

Chris is an incredible practitioner of Chinese medicine. I started seeing him in my third trimester of my second pregnancy. My lower back, sacrum, and pubic bone pain were borderline unbearable. I had started to dread picking up my toddler and rolling out of bed was beyond painful.

★★★★★ — Kylie, Mar 2026

Dr. Dewey is a true healer. I cannot say how thankful I am to have found him. I've battled with headaches and migraines (generally hormone fed) since I was a child and I've tried many methods including chiropractic, inversion, western medicine, you name it and nothing has worked long term.

★★★★★ — Chelsea, Jul 2026

Chris was recommended to me by a co-worker - after three weeks of trying to deal with excruciating pain to my knees and hamstring (due to that wonderful elliptical machine). Chris truly cares! I found him to be extremely professional, considerate and after three visits with Chris my pain was gone and I can walk again.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
